Years ago, the High Wizard Academia made a breakthrough discovery: the limitation of a wizard’s daily arcane capacity (colloquially known as “spell slots”) was tied directly to the world’s gravitational pull. This meant, in theory, that a wizard in space has unlimited arcane capacity. Once further experiments and test voyages confirmed this, the race was on: an entire generation of wizards hastily constructed space-faring vessels for a life among the stars.
You are a member of this first generation of wizardly starfarers. You’re a crew member of just one space vessel out of a fleet of many. Together, you’re journeying across the stars to find a sector of the void to call your own.
Because, as it turns out, space is far from empty.
